Chery Auto Malaysia Launches Tiggo 7 Pro 5-Seater SUV; Priced At RM124k
After several rounds of previews, including an appearance at the Malaysia Autoshow 2024, Chery Auto Malaysia has officially launched the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro.
The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro 5-seater SUV is powered by a 1.6L turbocharged direct injection petrol engine offering 197 PS (194 hp) and 290 Nm of torque which are sent to the front wheels via a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. The wet clutch DCT system optimises gear changes for improved fuel efficiency and a more responsive drive. The official fuel consumption is 7 litres per 100 km. 
On the exterior, the Tiggo 7 Pro features a distinctive front grille and LED headlights bearing resemblance to that of the larger Tiggo 8 Pro, while blue diagonal streaks on the lower bumper garnish add accent to the front.
Inside, you get 5 seats covered in leatherette while cabin comfort is complemented by a panoramic sunroof, dual zone climate control with ionizer and 64-colour ambient lighting system. Passengers will appreciate the comfortable seats and ample legroom while the driver gets to enjoy a 50-watt wireless phone charger with active cooling, and a wide twin display measuring 24.6″ (each screen is 10.25″) that houses an infotainment system wired to an 8-speaker Sony sound system and provides access to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay without wires.
Take note that the display vehicle is an imported right-hand-drive unit and differs slightly from the locally assembled version. The Tiggo 7 Pro for Malaysia is fitted with memory settings for the driver’s seat, cooling function for front seats, as well as a thin-bezel rear view mirror.
For safety, the Tiggo 7 Pro comes equipped with the latest Advanced Driver Assistance System 2.5 (ADAS 2.5) system. This has 16 active safety features i.e. Autonomous Emergency Braking, Front Collision Warning, Lane Change Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Departure Prevention, Blind Spot Detection, Door Opening Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Collision Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Traffic Jam Assist, Emergency Lane Keeping Assist, Intelligent High Beam, Multi-collision Brake, Adaptive Cruise Control, Integrated Cruise Assist. Other key features include a 540-degree panoramic camera view (which includes the terrain under the vehicle), tyre pressure monitoring system, hill descent control, and 7 airbags.
The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is now available at all Chery dealerships across Malaysia with a price tag of RM123,800. For the first 2,000 buyers, they will enjoy a special price of RM119,800. Additionally, Chery Auto Malaysia is providing a 7-year or 150,000 km warranty, a 7-year or 150,000 km of 24/7 unlimited towing as well as 5 years of free service (across the board) to give customers added peace of mind.
