Vertex Mission Sdn Bhd Plans To Add More Hino Trucks To Its Fleet
Haulage company, Vertex Mission Sdn Bhd, which is based in Klang, Selangor is planning to expand its fleet by adding more HINO trucks. It had recently taken delivery of 5 HINO 700 Series prime movers from Hino Motors Sales (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. These 5 are the 700 Series SH1EERA with automated manual transmission (AMT).
Subsequent to this delivery, Vertex Mission is looking forward to adding more HINO trucks to its fleet. It is already in discussion for the purchase of the next batch which will likely be delivered in Q3 this year.
Vertex Mission has been in the industry for more than 15 years as an end-to-end provider of logistics and supply chain management solutions. It delivers a full range of logistics services entirely in-house to support the way clients do business.
The HINO 700 Series is gaining popularity in West Malaysia with the launch of the AMT model in 2019. Hino Malaysia Managing Director, Atsushi Uchiyama, said, “HINO Prime Mover, 700 Series model, previously is more popular in East Malaysia especially for the highway projects, but now we have introduced our prime mover with AMT, the market in West Malaysia is catching up and we are confident that our product will satisfy our customer’s needs.”
Running a business-to-business (B2B) operation requires building effective relationships and long-term partnerships. To achieve this success, Hino Malaysia practices a customer-centric approach that reflects its tagline – ‘Transporting Every Happiness.’
“We have known that Hino Motors is an established Japanese brand under the Toyota Group and has been in Malaysia for almost half a century. This portrays the trust and confidence from Malaysian customers and the brand’s stability in the Malaysian market.” said Vertex Mission Managing Director, Soo Chee Yeong of the company’s confidence in the Hino brand.
“Hino gives us a good beginning stage especially on the truck trial and provides technical support and be on the ground to understand our needs. They work closely with us and gives the best total support, and this led to our decision to add-on more Hino truck in our fleet. Also, Hino already has a network that is well established nationwide, this eases us for service maintenance and after-sales support,” he added.
The HINO 700 SH1EERA prime mover is the ultimate in Japanese engineering and comes as a Completely Built-Up (CBU) unit from Japan. It is fitted with a 16-speed mechanical auto synchromesh ZF16 transmission with power assistance, making it easier to shift gears at higher speeds. The AMT allows the truck to sustain a lower operational cost through reduced fuel consumption and lower clutch replacement cost. Supplying power to this 4×2 heavy-duty truck is a Euro 3 common-rail engine.
Safety is also a top priority for HINO, with such safety features as Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Energy-absorbing Steering Column for safer driving and better protection. Hino Malaysia also assures that only genuine parts are used in its service and maintenance as it promises customers the Hino QDR: Quality, Durability and Reliability.
Furthermore, Hino Malaysia also takes the initiative to improve driving skills among commercial vehicle drivers via its training center, Hino Total Support Customer Center (HTSCC) in Sendayan. Vertex Mission has registered for training of its drivers and fleet supervisors to enhance their driving safety and efficiency skills in order to reduce operational cost.
