KLIMS 2024 Saw Record Attendance

The 10th Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2024 (KLIMS 2024) held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) concluded successfully. This year’s event, themed “Beyond Mobility”, was held over 7 days and welcomed a record 183,221 visitors.

With nearly 70 leading automotive and mobility brands participating, this year’s focus was on sustainability and electrified mobility. Prominent brands included Toyota, Perodua, Proton, Honda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Mazda, Kia, Great Wall Motor (GWM), MG Motor, XPeng, Modenas, Kawasaki, Aion, Royal Enfield, Harley-Davidson, Peugeot, and Leapmotor which showcased prototypes, concept vehicles as well as future models for Malaysia.

Some of the highlights include the FT-3e, Land Cruiser SE, Hilux FCEV, and the Kayoibako from Toyota. Meanwhile, Nissan unveiled its Hyper Tourer concept, while Honda showcased the Prelude Concept, the compact Honda Motocompacto electric scooter, and a pioneering eVTOL flying car concept. Local automaker Perodua impressed with the eMO-II EV concept car as well as the bold Ativa Fuze concept.

The show also gave out awards to the best exhibitors, at the end, in recognition of their creativity and design. The award-winning exhibitors are:

  • OEM (400 sqm and above):
    1st place: UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd
    2nd place: Proton Holdings Bhd
    3rd place: Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd
  • OEM (399 sqm and below): Stellantis Malaysia Sdn Bhd
  • Non-OEM:
    1st place: PECCA Leather Sdn Bhd
    2nd place: Wedrink Enterprise Management (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd
    3rd place: Didi Group

These awards were evaluated on criteria such as visual appeal, effective space utilisation, and interactive elements like VR experiences and hands-on displays, in line with the “Beyond Mobility” theme.

Grand Prizes To Visitors
KLIMS 2024 also delighted visitors with attractive prizes, including a Toyota Yaris 1.5G Limited won by Mohd Azzarain Abdul Aziz, and a Perodua Axia claimed by Leaw Xiu Qi. These prizes were presented at an Appreciation High-tea event hosted by MAA to celebrate the event’s success.

Richard Teo, Show Manager of KLIMS 2024, emphasised, “This event has been a remarkable platform for fostering collaboration, showcasing groundbreaking designs, and inspiring the future of transportation.”
