Jaecoo Malaysia Delivers First Batch Of Locally Assembled J7 SUV
Jaecoo Malaysia has rolled out the first 500 units of its J7 SUV to dealerships across the country from its assembly plant in Shah Alam. This milestone comes just 3 weeks after the model’s official launch in mid-July, marking a significant step forward for the brand in the Malaysian automotive market.
The journey leading up to this moment has been one of careful planning and strategic execution. Over the past 7 months, Jaecoo Malaysia had been setting up a self-sufficient ecosystem and network to support the launch and distribution of the J7. Its efforts have paid off, with the brand now fulfilling its promise of delivering the first batch of SUVs in the 3rd quarter of the year, well within schedule.
“It has been a great year for Jaecoo beginning with an exciting preview period which led to an overwhelmingly positive reception during the official launch of the J7. We are very excited to deliver the first 500 units of our J7, and we are equally excited to place customers in the driver’s seat of Malaysia’s hottest premium off-road SUV,” said Chery Corporate Malaysia Executive Vice President, Leo Chen.
The first 500 units delivered are all the All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) variant of the J7, which has already garnered attention for its competitive pricing of RM148,800. Jaecoo has scheduled delivery of the 2-Wheel-Drive (2WD) variant in the next batch in September. The Jaecoo J7 2WD wears a price tag of RM138,800. Jaecoo’s pricing strategy positions the J7 as ‘attainable luxury’ in the C-segment SUV category.
Emily Lek, Vice President of JAECOO Malaysia, emphasised the brand’s commitment to maintaining a steady delivery momentum. “Our focus is on maintaining a steady momentum of delivering orders for the J7 in the coming months. We are also very happy to share that our network is ready to immerse our customers in the Jaecoo “From Classic, Beyond Classic” premium customer experience, from vehicle handovers to aftersales service”.
To support the J7 owners, Jaecoo Malaysia has established an expansive dealership network covering 35 locations across the country. Additionally, the brand has a dedicated production plant and a genuine parts warehouse to ensure that customers receive speedy and seamless aftersales support.
Both variants of the Jaecoo J7 come with a 7-year (or 150,000 km) warranty (terms & conditions apply) to bolster consumer confidence in the quality and durability of its vehicles. As Jaecoo continues to expand its presence in Malaysia, the brand’s commitment to delivering a premium experience remains at the forefront of its operations.
