2024 JMC Vigus Pro White Series 4×2 Euro 4 Introduced In Malaysia
Angka-Tan Motor Sdn Bhd (ATM) has introduced the 2024 JMC Vigus Pro White Series 4×2 to its light pickup truck range in Malaysia. The 2024 JMC Vigus Pro White Series 4×2 meets Euro 4 standards and is the most budget-friendly model in the range, selling alongside the Vigus Pro White Series 4×4 and range-topping Vigus Pro Premium Series 4×4. Of the 3 variants, the new Vigus Pro White Series 4×2 is the only one with a 4×2 drive system, making it an ideal urban workhorse for start-ups and SMEs.
Like all variants in the JMC Vigus Pro range, the White Series 4×2 is powered by the 2.0L 4-cylinder Puma direct injection electronic commonrail turbodiesel engine with variable geometry turbocharging (VGT) and an intercooler. The Ford-developed unit is paired to an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission with an electronic gear selector and paddle shifters to facilitate a smoother and more engaging driving experience. Power output is 141 PS (139 hp) @ 3,600 rpm and 340 Nm @ 1,500 – 2,600 rpm.
Other physical specs of the 2-wheel-drive Vigus Pro White Series 4×2 remain similar to the 4×4 variants, including front and rear ventilated disc brakes, 16″ wheels, and Eaton differential lock. A result of not having a BorgWarner 4WD system is the lower kerb weight of 1,895 kg (compared to the 1,995 kg of the 4×4). Further, the cargo capacity of its truck bed is up to 950 kg, making it suitable as a workhorse.
The Vigus Pro White Series 4×2 Euro 4 also offers the same amenities such as an 8″ touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, rain-sensing wipers, and powered side mirrors with LED lights and heating function.
