Dai Lieng Machinery Sdn Bhd Becomes Sole Volvo Trucks Malaysia Dealer In East Malaysia Following Asset Buy
Volvo Malaysia Sdn Bhd, also known as Volvo Trucks Malaysia, has disclosed that it had earlier started an asset sale to Dai Lieng Machinery Sdn Bhd in Sarawak. In accordance with the agreement, Dai Lieng Machinery Sdn Bhd will procure key assets from Volvo Malaysia Sdn Bhd’s truck business for its Kuching and Bintulu dealerships.
This transaction empowers both Volvo Trucks Malaysia and Dai Lieng Machinery Sdn Bhd to collaborate and expand their operations, ensuring dependable solutions for the heavyweight automotive sector. This strategic manoeuvre is in line with Volvo Trucks Malaysia’s commitment to enhance customer experiences and value.

Upon completion of this asset procurement exercise, Dai Lieng Machinery Sdn Bhd became the sole Volvo Trucks Malaysia dealer in East Malaysia. The company has branches strategically located in Miri (headquarters), Kuching, Bintulu, Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, and Tawau. Operations had commenced under Dai Lieng Machinery Sdn Bhd starting 2 May 2024.
