smart #1 Bookings Hit 1,000 Units
smart Malaysia has shared that bookings for the smart #1 has hit 1,000 units. The smart #1 BEV (battery electric vehicle) was launched a few weeks ago on 21 November. With 3 variants available, and priced from RM189,000, smart #1 comes with an extensive standard warranty package, including an 8-year / 200,000 km High-Voltage Battery Warranty, an 8-year / 150,000 km High-Voltage Component Warranty, a 4-year Unlimited Mileage Vehicle Warranty, and a 2-year Unlimited Mileage Spare Parts Warranty. Customers will also benefit from 24/7 Roadside Service Assistance.

The smart #1 Pro and Premium variants are single-motor rear-wheel-drive EVs while the #1 Brabus is a performance-oriented dual-motor all-wheel-drive. Power output of the first 2 variants are 200 kW (272 PS) and 343 Nm of torque, which allows for a 0 – 100 km/h acceleration time of 6.7 seconds. Top speed is capped at 180 km/h. The #1 Brabus has more power at its disposal i.e. 315 kW (428 PS) and 543 Nm and can do the 0 – 100 km/h sprint in 3.9 seconds. But top speed is also capped at 180 km/h. As for driving range, the #1 Pro has a 49 kWh lithium ferrophosphate (LFP) battery that provides up to 315 km of electric driving while the Premium and Brabus get a 66 kWh NMC (lithium nickel manganese cobalt) battery with up to 440 km and 400 km range respectively.
