BMW Malaysia Signs MoU With Leader Energy On EV Charging Infrastructure

BMW Malaysia Sdn Bhd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Leader EV Solutions Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leader Energy Holding Berhad. Through this MOU, the BMW branding will be present at all Leader EV’s Galaxy Charge stations along the North-South Highway. Both parties will also jointly initiate campaigns to promote vehicle charging for brands represented by BMW with the Galaxy Charge network. Leader Energy, its subsidiaries and jointly controlled entities, is an independent power producer primarily involved in the development, ownership, operations and maintenance of power assets and projects.

According to this MOU, Leader EV will be responsible for the development, installation, operation, and maintenance of the Galaxy Charge network, and will also actively promote and create awareness on electric vehicle charging technology. Concurrently, BMW will fulfill the access of public charging solutions via a subscription or membership programme to the Galaxy Charge network. The Galaxy Charge network is supplemented by PV panels to make use of solar energy.
