Updated Toyota Yaris IMP; Available In 2 Variants From RM88k

UMW Toyota Motor has announced the availability of the updated Toyota Yaris IMP in 2 variants i.e. Yaris 1.5E (RM88,000*) and Yaris 1.5G (RM91,600*). This leading non-national B-segment hatchback receives a facelift as well as enhancements to the equipment list.

Both Yaris variants get new sporty front and rear skirting, as well as an optional 2-tone paint finish with a striking black roof. There are a total of 5 exterior colour combinations available, with Red Mica Metallic and Platinum White Pearl available in single or two-tone options. Only the Silver Metallic finish is available in a sole single-tone choice.

Inside the Yaris IMP, you will find a larger 9” display, with Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. There is also a wireless phone charger. Additionally, the seats are now finished in a more striking fabric design, while the USB ports have been updated to the current Type-C format. Another standard feature is a front driving video recorder (DVR) which has smartphone connectivity enabling you to quickly download footage. Last but not least, the Yaris IMP gets a new sporty Optitron instrument cluster with red and white graphics.

In addition to what’s mentioned, the pricier Yaris 1.5G variant gains more enhancements such as the soft leather steering wheel with paddle shifters, a pre-installed RFID tag and parking aid sensors at the front and rear.

Both variants continue to use the proven 1.5L 2NR-FE 4-cylinder engine iwth Dual VVT-i, that is paired with a 7-speed Sport Sequential Shiftmatic transmission. In line with Toyota’s safety benchmarks, both variants come with a host of safety features as standard, including Toyota Safety Sense Precollision System & Lane Departure Alert, 7 SRS airbags, Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Vehicle Stability Control, Hill Start Assist, 3D panoramic view monitor, etc. These help the Yaris maintaining its 5-star ASEAN NCAP safety rating.
