The leading BMW dealership in Kedah, Lee Motors Auto Care, has partnered with POWERBEE, a wholly owned subsidiary of clean energy solutions provider, Solarvest Holdings Berhad, to offer new BMW electric vehicle customers an exclusive solar energy solution to complement their premium ownership experience. This partnership was established to support new BMW EV owners with a more environmentally-friendly and sustainable journey. BMW customers will enjoy a complimentary 4.5 kWp (kilowatt peak) rooftop solar photovoltaic system worth RM22,000 from the Solarvest Group.

Meanwhile, Davis Chong Chun Shiong, spokesperson from Solarvest Holdings Berhad emphasised the importance of sustainability in EV deployment, stating, “To truly achieve sustainability, it is crucial to support Electric Vehicles with responsible and renewable sources of energy. At POWERBEE, our commitment lies in providing EV charging solutions powered by 100% renewable energy. With a 4.5 kWp rooftop solar PV system, on average, we can generate enough electricity needed for 5 full charges per month on the BMW i7, equivalent to a traveling distance of 3,125 km, all powered by renewable energy. By integrating a rooftop solar PV system, new owners of BMW EVs from Lee Motors Auto Care can effectively harness renewable energy sources to power their EVs, managing their carbon footprint better as well as creating more responsible value for their premium ownership experience.

On the same note, Solarvest Holdings Berhad had also announced its decision to transition its corporate vehicle fleet to electric vehicles, aiming to set an example for like-minded organisations to adopt this technology switch for a more responsible and sustainable deployment of clean energy solutions.

Additionally, BMW electric vehicle owners have access to over 1,000 charging facilities currently available under BMW Group Malaysia’s network.

The BMW iX xDrive40, BMW iX xDrive40 Sport and BMW iX xDrive50 Sport are priced at RM403,800, RM447,800 and RM546,800 respectively. The BMW i7 xDrive60 meanwhile, is priced at RM729,800.
