Peugeot e-2008, 2008 SE And Landtrek Will Be At Bermaz Roadshow In 1 Utama
From today (17 May) until 25 May 2023, Bermaz Auto Alliance Sdn Bhd will be the Peugeot Roadshow in 1 Utama Shopping Centre (10:00 AM – 10:00 PM). The roadshow, located at the Luxe Concourse, will showcase the Peugeot e-2008, 2008 SE and Landtrek pickup truck. The e-2008 had its global launch recently and was also on preview at the Malaysia Autoshow 2023.
The Peugeot e-2008
The all-new e-2008 is Peugeot’s Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) which boasts a powerful, sculpted and streamlined athletic physique. The e-2008 adopts an exclusive and distinctive styling design, including body-coloured chequered front grille, signature lights and a horizontal bonnet topped with a black roof, highlighting its sporty personality.
This crossover is fitted with a 50 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and a 100 kW (136 PS / 134 hp) motor that provides 260 Nm of torque and gives an estimated driving range of up to 320 km on a full charge (WLTP). Top speed is limited to 150 km/h. Charging the e-2008 from 0% up to 80% at any dedicated DC charging station will take about 30 minutes as it supports 100 kW rapid charging. With a Type 2 AC charger (11 kW), it will take about 4.5 hours to get a full charge.
The Peugeot 2008 SE
The Peugeot 2008 SE is designed as a special edition for customers who want a compact crossover with a sportier attitude. Available in 2 exclusive colours i.e. Fusion Orange and Pearly White, the 2008 SE features front and rear bumper trims as well as the side trims that are finished in Matte Black for a sophisticated look. Its sporty look is complemented by a set of 17″ alloy rims in Piano Black finish. Finishing off the look are some SE badges and unique body decals.
The Peugeot 2008 is powered by a 1.2L PureTech inline 3-cylinder turbo engine with dual VVT that produces 130 hp @ 5,000 rpm and 230 Nm @ 1,750 rpm. Paired with an AT6 III 6-speed auto, the 2008’s fuel efficiency is rated at 4.5L/100km.
Key features include automatic LED headlights with signature illumination, LED daytime running lights, LED rear combination lights with signature illumination, rain sensing wipers, 180-degree reverse camera, keyless entry, electric parking brake, cruise control, 10” 3D digital head-up cluster display, 7” infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, 2 USB ports, tyre pressure monitoring system, 6 front and 6 rear parking sensors, and roof rails.
The Peugeot Landtrek
The Landtrek is Peugeot’s contender in the local pickup truck segment. The Landtrek is a mid-sized pickup built with the essential elements of the segment i.e. reliability, ease of maintenance, versatility, off-road capabilities, as well as towing and loading performance.
It features an attractive styling designed and driving capabilities that make it seem at home on city roads as well as on challenging terrains. The Landtrek has a ground clearance of 235 mm and a wading depth of up to 600 mm, making it suitable for handling rough terrain, potholes and flash floods in the city. Powering it is a 1.9L turbodiesel engine with variable geometry turbine paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The powertrain produces 150 hp @ 4,000 rpm and 350 Nm of torque @ 1,800 – 2,800 rpm.
The Landtrek is also equipped with technology to handle rough roads such as a mechanical rear differential lock which provides extra traction when one wheel slips. Additionally, the transfer case allows for easy shifting between 2-High, 4-High and 4-Low modes with just a turn of the rotary knob.
Creature comfort includes a 10” touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, silver-trimmed piano-style toggle switches, and dual zone air conditioning controls. Furthermore, the rear seats’ backrest can be tilted 23 degrees to provide greater comfort on long journeys. The modular nature of the rear bench seats also adds versatility to the cabin. The rear seat cushions can be tipped up in a 60:40 split to allow flexible loading configurations. Similarly, the rear backrest can also be folded down 60:40 and can support loads of up to 100 kg.
