Audi Introduces Assurance Package For Extended Coverage

PHS Automotive Malaysia (PHSAM), the official distributor of Audi, has introduced the Audi Assurance Package (AAP) as an option to extend coverage. From 1 January 2023, buyers of new Audi vehicles can opt to extend the manufacturer warranty by 3 years (up from the standard 2 years), to a total of 5 years, and to include 3 years of free maintenance.

The Assurance Package starts from as low as RM8,000 and goes up to RM24,000, depending on the selected model. New Audi owners can opt in on the packages prior to or upon purchase.

According to Erik Winter, Managing Director PHSAM, this initiative is a commitment for the Audi ownership experience, and future growth of the Audi brand. “Audi owners expect an exceptional ownership experience, and it begins with the purchase. This program was designed to provide owners with more value and flexibility at the new retail prices, extending their peace of mind,” said Erik.

“Beyond this, our Audi Centres are also ready to support owners with improved aftersales offerings and the right package to suit their lifestyle demands, and to ensure their vehicles remain protected for the journeys they are making. This initiative adds to our series of customer care programmes to make Audi the choice of those seeking drive experiences that are a class above the rest,” he added.

PHSAM is a wholly-owned subsidiary of European automotive specialist, Porsche Holding Salzburg (PHS). PHSAM represents wholesale, marketing and aftersales for the Audi brand in the country. Porsche Holding Salzburg is the largest and most successful automotive distributor in Europe. The Salzburg-based company was founded in 1947 and operates today in 29 markets in Western- and South-eastern Europe, Japan, China, and in South America.

For clarity, the types of coverage are:

• Vehicles delivered after 1 January 2023 with the optional AAP
  • 5 years manufacturer warranty;
  • 3 years maintenance;
  • 5 years roadside assistance
• Vehicles delivered after 1 January 2023 without the optional AAP
  • 2 years manufacturer warranty;
  • 5 years roadside assistance
• Vehicles delivered from 1 July to 31 December 2022
  • 5 years warranty;
  • 3 years free maintenance;
  • 5 years roadside assistance
• Vehicles delivered from 1 January 2018 to 30 June 2022
  • 5 years warranty;
  • 5 years roadside assistance

At the same time, PHSAM also announced that the on-the-road prices for the entire range of Audi vehicles have been adjusted.
