Bermaz Brings In Updated Mazda CX-3 1.5 And 2.0 Models
Official distributor, Bermaz Motor, has brought in the updated version of the Mazda CX-3. This timeless compact crossover comes fully imported from Thailand and is available in 2 powertrain variants i.e. Skyactiv-G 1.5L 2WD Core and Skyactiv-G 2.0L 2WD Core. These models are designed to target buyers of entry-level SUVs / crossovers who want style and fuel efficiency.
The new base variant of the CX-3 is fitted with the Skyactiv-G 1.5L petrol engine which has an output of 114 hp @ 6,000 rpm and 149 Nm of torque @ 4,000 rpm. This engine is paired with a Skyactiv-Drive 6-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode, and complemented by the G-Vectoring Control technology (GVC) for improved stability and driving performance.
Meanwhile, Bermaz continues to offer the CX-3 in the Skyactiv-G 2.0L High variant, alongside the 2 new Core variants, for those with a more premium budget in mind. The 2.0L High and 2.0L Core models share the same powertrain i.e. 2.0L with 154 hp @ 6,000 rpm and 206 Nm @ 2,800 rpm, mated to a 6-speed Skyactiv-Drive gearbox like the 1.5L version. All 3 variants run on 16″ tyres.
However, the 2.0L High variant includes front LED headlamps and rear LED lamps, Qi Wireless Charger, wireless Apple CarPlay, powered sunroof, and 360° view monitor. It is also the only variant in this range to be fitted with the i-Activsense advanced driver assist systems which includes High Beam Control (HBC), Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Smart City Brake Support (SCBS), Driver Attention Alert (DAA) and Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS).
The Core variants meanwhile, have halogen headlights (non-auto), non-LED daytime running lights and tail lights, and non-rain sensing wipers. However, they do include Mazda’s keyless entry system, powered side mirrors with built-in turn indicator, rear spoiler, push button start, electronic parking brake, cruise control, 8″ touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 2 USB ports, and reverse camera.
The color choices for the Mazda CX-3 include Snowflake White Pearl, Soul Red Crystal, Jet Black, Machine Gray, Polymetal Gray and Platinum Quartz.
The retail prices are RM107,870 (1.5 Core); RM118,159 (2.0 Core); and RM131,359 (2.0 High). All prices quoted are on-the-road for private registration in Peninsular Malaysia, without insurance. Included are 5-years Manufacturer Warranty and 5-years Free Maintenance according to manufacturer’s standards (inclusive of labour, parts and lubricants). Both the Manufacturer Warranty and Free Maintenance have a coverage of period of 5 years or 100,000 km mileage, whichever comes first.
The 2022 Mazda CX-3 is now open for booking. It is on display at the Bermaz Auto Showcase event in 1 Utama Shopping Centre (New Wing Oval Concourse) until 9 October 2022 (10:00 AM to 10:00 PM). Other Mazda models on display includes the 2022 Mazda CX-8 2.5L Turbo, Mazda BT-50, as well as Mazda MX-30, its first battery electric vehicle.
