New Renault Zoe EV Now Open For Sale In Malaysia
The new Renault Zoe is now available and open for sale in Malaysia. This latest generation all-electric Zoe comes with and increase in power as well as driving range.
TC Euro Cars (TCEC), the sole franchise holder of Renault vehicles in Malaysia, is bringing in 2 variants i.e. R110 and R135. These 2 models have different powertrain configurations that are updated to deliver a smooth and responsive driving experience.
The Zoe R110 gives you a maximum output of 80 kW and 225 Nm of torque, while the Zoe R135 provides 100 kW and 245 Nm. The Zoe R110 bears a retail priced of RM163,0001, while the official price for the R135 is yet to be confirmed. TCEC estimates it to be about RM175,0001.
Storing energy in both the Zoe R110 and R135 is Renault’s new 52 kWh Z.E. 50 battery. This new battery is able to give the car a driving range of up to 395 km on the WLTP protocol2. This represents a 25% improvement over the previous generation battery without having to increase the battery pack’s physical dimensions. Furthermore, the new Zoe is built with direct current (DC) rapid charging capability via the new Combo CCS2 plug, in addition to its Type 2 alternating current (AC) charging option.
Through DC charging, the new Zoe recovers up to 145 km of driving range in 30 minutes. With the AC Type 2 charging, the Zoe can get from 0 to 100% capacity in 3 hours (using the 22 kW charger), or 9 hours 30 minutes with the 7.4 kW charger.
Besides the engineering and technology updates, the new Zoe also gains a new interior style. The Zoe’s redesigned cabin features a wide 10″ full TFT and customisable instrument cluster, and the Renault EASY LINK multimedia system with 6 speaker audios. The updated infotainment system also features a 7″ central touchscreen with smartphone replication that is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Renault also applied the use of ethically sourced and sustainable materials in the interior, such as tactile textiles on key touch points.
The new Renault Zoe is now open for registration of interest. The Zoe is also available for viewing (the R110) at the Renault flagship showroom along Jalan Kemajuan in Seksyen 13, Petaling Jaya.
