Setel Share Allows You To Share E-Wallet Balance With Others
Mobile e-payment platform, Setel, has introduced the Setel Share feature which allows the sharing of the e-wallet. This feature allows motorists to pay for their loved ones’ fuel purchases via the Setel app when they refuel at any PETRONAS station.
If you are already a Setel user, you can create a Setel Share group and invite up to 2 other members to pay from the same e-wallet balance. Owners of the Setel Share group will have full control to track & monitor any refuelling expenses by the group members via the shared e-wallet. This new feature also allows earning of Mesra points in 1 account without having the hassle of passing a physical card around or having multiple accounts, thus giving the opportunity to accumulate points faster to redeem rewards.
“We ran a survey with thousands of Setel users and 71% of them are already paying for fuel for their family members and friends today. With Setel Share, we want to help our customers extend a safer refuelling experience with minimised contact to their loved ones, without them having to top up on their own. Together, we can work towards supporting our nation’s recovery efforts to move into the endemic phase,” said Mazlin Erawati Ab Manan, Chief Executive Officer of Setel.
Setel Share is fully regulated and complies with Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) e-money guidelines. It provides safeguards in place to ensure the security of every transaction. The Setel Share owner can set or remove group members at any time, and get real-time notifications for any transaction made via the Setel Share wallet.
You can now invite family and friends who are not yet on Setel to enjoy Setel Share features and earn additional rewards via the latest Setel Refer-a-Friend Challenge. From now until 31 December 2021, Setel welcomes users to unlock special badges to earn even more rewards and bonus credit of up to RM50,000 upon successful referrals.
The Setel Share feature is available to all Setel users with version 1.84 and newer of the Setel app. If you don’t have the Setel app yet, you can download the latest version from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store and Huawei AppGallery.
