Volvo XC60 Facelift Launched In Malaysia; Now With Google Services

Volvo Car Malaysia has launched the Volvo XC60 facelift which includes added safety features as well as connectivity. The new Volvo XC60 features rich Scandinavian design with refined enhancements to the exterior. The changes include a new grille, new front bumpers and a new exterior colour. Further, the XC60 Recharge T8 variant comes with new 19” 6-multispoke black diamond-cut alloy wheel design, as well as a Bowers and Wilkins sound system.

The “Smarter XC60″ is also integrated with Google Services in its infotainment system, a result of the partnership between Volvo Cars and Google. This enhanced model will feature a new Digital Services Package consisting of an integrated voice-controlled Google Assistant which enables control of many in-car applications including Google Maps, allowing more to be done without taking eyes off the road nor hands off the steering wheel.

Another highlight is the Volvo Car App and Connected Services that connects you with your Volvo, enabling convenient remote control of several car functions. Through your mobile device or voice control, you can remotely pre-climatise your parked car, check car status, lock or unlock the doors, among others.

Volvo XC60_Plug-in Hybrid_SideThe Smarter Volvo XC60 also presents a range of drive modes, according to your preference, from Pure Electric mode to Power mode. The Recharge T8 variant is a plug-in hybrid powered with a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo engine and an 8-speed Geartronic automatic transmission. The engine is assisted by a supercharger as well as a turbocharger, producing 407 hp and 640 Nm of torque, with 87 hp and 240 Nm from the electric motor. The XC60 can do a 0 – 100 km/h sprint in 5.3 seconds, and officially consumes 2.2 litres per 100 km.

The updated Volvo XC60 is also equipped with Volvo’s latest active safety system. The Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) includes collision avoidance, lane keeping aid, run-off road mitigation, cross traffic alert with auto braking, blind spot information system and a surround view camera.

The Smarter XC60 is priced from RM325,449. It is available for viewing at at authorised Volvo showrooms. Online bookings can also be made in Volvo Car Malaysia’s website.
