Updated Toyota Hilux, Fortuner And Innova Coming Soon; Now Open For Booking

Bookings are now being accepted at all authorised Toyota dealerships for the upcoming updated Toyota Hilux, Fortuner and Innova. You can also do the same in the Toyota Online Showroom if you can’t make it to a physical one.

These 3 models make up Toyota’s IMV (Innovative International Multi-Purpose Vehicle) range and will be getting updates that improve on convenience and comfort. One of the updates is for the petrol engine models which are tuned to meet stricter emission control standards ahead of the planned implementation of Euro 4 standards in 2022.

Toyota Hilux

Malaysia’s best-selling pick-up truck will have 5 variants to suit different budgets and needs. It comes with 2 turbodiesel 4-cylinder engine choices i.e. 2.4L and 2.8L. Both engines are tuned for fuel efficiency which can be enhanced further with the ECO mode.

The passenger-oriented double cab variants i.e. Hilux 2.8 Rogue, 2.4 V and 2.4 E, use 6-speed automatic transmissions and have a dual-range 4×4 system. Meanwhile, the other variants i.e. Hilux Double Cab 2.4 G and Single Cab 2.4, are equipped with 6-speed manual transmissions with both also getting 4×4 drivetrains.

Additionally, the Hilux is already well equipped to give you the best value for money, with a host of features and equipment for convenience and safety. The Hilux 2.8 Rogue and 2.4 V also get its air-conditioning system upgraded to a dual zone one, allowing for individual settings for the driver and front passenger.

Toyota Fortuner

The latest 7-seater Fortuner SUV will be available in 3 variants i.e. Fortuner 2.8 VRZ, Fortuner 2.7 SRZ and Fortuner 2.4. Due to strong market request, the Fortuner 2.4 will now be made available throughout Malaysia, along with Fortuner 2.8 VRZ and 2.7 SRZ.

Like the updated Hilux, the the front air-conditioner of the Fortuner 2.8 VRZ and 2.7 SRZ will also be a
dual-zone unit. Further, a wireless charger pad for compatible smartphones is now standard across the range. The rear USB port for the Fortuner 2.8 VRZ has also been updated to the latest Type C port to keep up with the latest smart devices.

The Fortuner will continue with the same proven and reliable powertrains paired with 6-speed electronic automatic transmissions and dual-range 4×4 systems. The 2.7L petrol engine gets retuned to meet the stricter emission control standards of Euro 4.

Toyota Innova

The versatile 2nd generation Innova 8-seater MPV will be available in 3 variants i.e. Innova 2.0X, 2.0G and 2.0E. While all 3 variants have the same spacious 3-row cabin, the Innova 2.0X get generously sized Captain’s Seats in the middle row, making it a 7-seater.

Standard to the entire range is a wireless charging pad for smartphones. Or one can make use of any of the multiple USB ports around the cabin.

All 3 variants are powered by a fuel-efficient and reliable 2.0L petrol engine which has also been upgraded to meet the stricter Euro 4 emission control standards. This higher standard means that the exhaust emissions are much less polluting.

According to UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd (UMWT), the retail prices (without insurance) will be:

• Toyota Hilux – from RM92,880
• Toyota Fortuner – from RM169,167
• Toyota Innova – from RM115,553

For the Fortuner & Innova, the price is inclusive the Sales & Service Tax (SST) exemption. Sale of the vehicle is expected to be by January 2022.

5-Year Warranty

All 3 models are covered by a 5-year warranty. The warranty for the Fortuner and Innova are not bound by mileage, while the warranty for the Hilux is capped at 150,000 km (terms & conditions apply).

Financing
