Honda Malaysia Adds V-SENSING Variant To Honda City Line-Up
Honda Malaysia has added another variant to its B-segment Honda City line-up. As referenced by its name, the new sedan variant includes Honda SENSING safety features. It is the second City variant after the City RS e:HEV to offer it. The Honda City V-SENSING comes with a price tag of RM90,212.36 (on-the-road without insurance; sales tax exemption valid until 30 June 2022).
The enhanced Honda SENSING technology was developed to realise the vision of a collision‑free mobile society by using a front wide view camera to better recognise road boundaries during day and night driving conditions. The suite of assistance features in Honda SENSING are:
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
- Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS)
- Forward Collision Warning (FCW)
- Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS)
- Road Departure Mitigation (RDM)
- Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
- Auto High Beam (AHB)

The Honda City V-SENSING is fitted with LED headlights, daytime running lights (DRL), fog lights, and tail lights, as well as 16″ alloy wheels.
Inside, you will find combination leather seats with Ivory highlights, 8″ infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto* connectivity, a 7″ Interactive Thin Film Transistor (TFT) meter that provides easy access to information, and paddle shifters. Another highlight is the Remote Engine Start** feature which is a first-in-class offering. This enables the car to be started remotely to allow the air-conditioning to cool down the cabin beforehand. The car also has rear air conditioning vents, which is standard across the range.
Continuing to power the Honda City V-SENSING is a 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC engine capable of 121 PS and 145 Nm. It is currently the most powerful engine in its segment, and is paired to a Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) for an ideal balance of performance and fuel efficiency.

Awarded with the “ASEAN NCAP Excellent Award category – Consistent 5 Star” at the ASEAN NCAP Grand Prix Awards 2020, the Honda City V-SENSING carries the same advanced safety features with the V and RS e:HEV variants such as 6 Airbags and Honda LaneWatch which is a camera based advanced safety technology that helps monitor blind spots through the infotainment screen. The variant also offers a host of safety features such as Rear Seat Belt Reminder, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Hill Start Assist (HSA) and Rear Seat ISOFIX I-SIZE Type. Other additional features for this variant include Reverse Sensors with Multi-Angle Reverse Camera**.
