Every Financed BMW And MINI Electrified Model Sends RM100 To Food Relief Aid
For every electrified BMW or MINI vehicle that enrolls in a financing package provided by BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia, the company has pledged to allocate RM100 to food relief aid. This fundraising initiative will support 2 local organisations i.e. Refuge for the Refugees and Empire Projec. These groups provide food relief to the underprivileged and marginalised communities in Malaysia, especially during the current pandemic situation. The initiative is also supported by BMW Group Malaysia in terms of logistics and delivery needs.
The fundraising initiative involves contributions of RM100, made on behalf of BMW and MINI customers, for every funded contract of the following models*: the BMW 330e, BMW 530e, BMW 740Le xDrive, BMW X5 xDrive45e, MINI Cooper SE as well as the MINI Cooper SE Countryman. All funded contracts from 1 September to 31 December 2021 for the aforementioned models are eligible for this initiative.
The contributions will support the relief efforts by Refuge for the Refugees and Empire Project. The Refuge for the Refugees provides food aid to more than 700 families in the B40 segment, and migrant and refugee communities on a weekly basis. The Empire Project effort provides food and essentials to marginalised Malaysians across the country.
“In these challenging times, it is imperative that we come together to lend a helping hand wherever we can. Although we are looking at a gradual shift into the next phase of the National Recovery Plan, we want to continue providing support to these exceptional non-profit organisations who work hard to ensure that underprivileged families and individuals in the country do not go hungry. We have had the privilege of volunteering our time as an organisation with both Refuge for the Refugees and Empire Project for the last 18 months, and we are humbled to be able to contribute further to their relief efforts,” Danielle Maassen, Chief of Sales & Marketing of BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia said.
