Customised Makeover For Aston Martin Vantage

This particular Aston Martin Vantage in Liquid Crimson was brought in as a customised unit by Aston Martin Kuala Lumpur. The makeover introduces the new optional front grille design for the first time to Malaysia. The vaned front grille offers a softer, more refined front-end compared to the aggressive and muscular standard Vantage design that Aston Martin Kuala Lumpur launched in 2018.

This vaned front grille was a common feature in many legendary Aston Martins. The style was revived by the brand in 2020 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Vantage nameplate. It features 5 horizontal vanes and a more subtle bumper and splitter design to work in harmony with this grille. The vaned front grille can be specified in either Silver or Black, to perfectly complement the aesthetic and match the other trim choices available for Vantage models.

Besides the new grille styling, Aston Martin Vantage in Liquid Crimson also features newly introduced options by Aston Martin Lagonda this year i.e. the Black Wings badge and 20” Snowflake wheel. The new wheels are 6.23 kg lighter than the standard cast wheels. Further, the exterior black package (which includes black painted front grille, mirror caps, roof panel, window surround finisher, rear diffuser insert and blades), complement the car with a sporty vibe.

The Liquid Crimson exterior paint colour has a deep and luxurious finish that emphases the passion of the Aston Martin brand. The liquid-like quality of this lustrous colour highlights every body feature, accentuates every line and flatters every curve with a dynamism that makes you want to get in and drive.

Aston Martin is renowned for its leather, and this Vantage enjoys that advantage. Its interior features Caithness leather which is a very high-end, soft and natural leather to emphasise the luxurious interior. The key to this luxury feel is in the milling, which is a leather softening process. The longer the leather is milled, the softer and more luxurious the leather will feel.

The leather is available in either monotone or duotone split pattern. For the Vantage Liquid Crimson’s interior, a duotone in combination of Obsidian Black and Lords Red was used to highlight the beautiful curves of Vantage’s interior environment.

The Aston Martin Vantage is powered by a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 engine. Set low and far back within the engine bay for better weight distribution, this engine produces 510 PS and 685 Nm of torque. This power is transferred by the ZF 8-speed automatic transmission to the rear wheels and allows the Vantage to sprint from 0 – 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds. It has a rated maximum speed of 314 km/h.

This particular customised Vantage was snapped up immediately upon arrival in Malaysia by Dato’ Idrus Bin Mohd Satha, founder of several educational institutions. Fret not, for there are 2 additional units of highly customised Vantage with the vaned grille arriving soon for retail. Subsequently, there will be a minimum waiting period of 8 months.

The Aston Martin Vantage is available from a base price of RM678,000. The Aston Martin Vantage Liquid Crimson is priced from RM851,000 (both prices stated exclude duties and taxes).
