Volkswagen Showrooms In Malaysia Are Back In Business

Volkswagen showrooms nationwide are back in business as part of Malaysia’s National Recovery Plan that allows the automotive sector to resume operations. However, VW showrooms in Melaka, Johor, Kedah, Pahang, and Kelantan are still closed pending approval to operate.

Volkswagen Passat R-Line_Erik Winter_Managing Director_VPCMErik Winter, Managing Director of Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM), welcomes the government’s decision to reopen sales and manufacturing operations. “The closure of showrooms in the past months have affected our business performance, but we look forward to seeing the industry reopen and move forward, together with the support of our dealers.”

To ensure the safety of its employees and visitors, all Volkswagen showrooms will adhere to strict government guidelines and apply its #SafeHands measures. This includes MySejahtera check and temperature scans, mandatory mask usage, regular sanitising of showrooms and display cars, and other precautions. VPCM wants to emphasise that only fully vaccinated visitors are allowed in the showrooms. Any individual who wants to visit the showroom can do so 14 or 28 days (depending on the vaccine taken) after completing their full vaccination. You are encouraged to contact your preferred VW dealer to make an appointment prior to your visit.
