Proton X70 SE With New Exclusive Colour Limited To 2000 Units
A new variant has joined the Proton X70 line-up. Those still considering to buy Malaysia’s best-selling C-segment SUV now has the choice of the X70 SE (Special Edition). However, this variant will be limited to just 2,000 units.
Additionally, a new body colour makes its debut with the X70 Special Edition i.e. Ocean Blue. The popular Ruby Red is also available as an exterior colour choice. The X70 SE’s roof, door mirrors and rear spoiler are coloured black, similar to the Merdeka Edition. But it gets a new design for its 19″ sport rims. There is also an exclusive SE emblem mounted on the tailgate as differentiation.
Matching the exterior’s black accent is a predominantly black interior. The luxurious cabin detailing includes an exclusive interior trim finishing, SE-specific carpet mats as well as supple Nappa leather seats in black.
Like the rest of the Proton X70 range, the Proton X70 Special Edition comes with the Proton Intelligent Air Purification System (P-IAPS) that combines the benefits of an N95 cabin filter and an air purifier system to offer protection against airborne pollutants and contaminants and improve cabin air quality.
The differences are mainly in the exterior and interior package as mechanically, the Proton X70 Special Edition is identical in specifications to the Premium 2WD variant. It is driven by the same 1.8L TGDi engine with 7-speed dual clutch transmission. This combo gives the front wheels of the X70 SE 135 kW (184 hp) @ 5,500 rpm and 300 Nm @ 1,750 – 4,000 rpm.
The Proton X70 SE also comes with a comprehensive list of safety features including 6 SRS airbags and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) that adds an additional layer of active safety to reduce the risk of accidents. There is also a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and 360-degree camera for navigating tight spaces.

The Proton X70 Special Edition is priced at RM123,800 (on-the-road without insurance).
