Perodua Contributes Additional Medical Supplies To Hospital Sungai Buloh

With manpower and resources at Hospital Sungai Buloh currently stretched, Perodua has decided to contribute additional medical supplies to the hospital as a relief. Perodua gave an additional RM80,000 worth of medical supplies, including 5,000 face shields, wheelchairs with safety belts, commode chairs, transfer boards, bed railings, rehabilitation chairs, walking frames, walking sticks, and a therapy tilt table. This contribution is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to support key public institutions nationwide.

“The supplies provided are based on feedback given by the hospital’s administrative team to help keep their staff safe and patients comfortable,” said Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Zainal Abidin Ahmad.

The 5,000 face shields contributed by Perodua to Hospital Sungai Buloh are manufactured by an associate company. Thus far Perodua had contributed a total of 35,000 face shields to various organisations in Malaysia.

The face shields feature a fog-resistant visor made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) for optimal visibility; sponge cushioning that hugs the forehead and act as a barrier against airborne droplets; and an adjustable elastic band for a snug and comfortable fit.

“We will continue to communicate with key public institutions to see where Perodua may contribute strategically in supporting the nation. We thank and salute our brave men and women who work tirelessly to serve us all,” Dato’ Zainal said.
