New Nissan Navara Officially Launched In Malaysia
After its preview of the new Nissan Navara PRO-4X late last month, Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd (ETCM) has officially launched and confirmed the prices of the six variants of the New Nissan Navara (Peninsular & East Malaysia respectively):

To recap, the new Nissan Navara delivers a more rugged yet stylish appearance while providing smarter features. It continues Nissan’s long 80-year heritage of building pick-up trucks that are durable, reliable and versatile. Touted as the Mother Trucker in Malaysia, the Nissan Navara is now radically redesigned and fitted with many best-in-class technologies, including an array of Nissan Intelligent Mobility driver assisted features and safety systems, making it the most advanced Navara ever.
The new Nissan Navara variants are differentiated by the 2.5L YD25 inline four turbo diesel engine in two output. The high output YD25 that is paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission with manual mode and produces 190 PS @ 3,600 rpm and 450 Nm @ 2,000 rpm is found in the Navara PRO-4X, VL, V, and SE. Meanwhile, the medium output YD25 engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and is fitted in the Navara SE manual and Single Cab variants. This engine has an output of 163 PS @ 3,600 rpm and 403 Nm @ 2,000 rpm.
With the exception of the Single Cab variant, all Navara variants come standard with new Rear Multi-link Suspension with Dual-Rate Coil Springs that reduces body toss motion; new Electronic Locking Rear Differential system that allows the left and right wheels to rotate as a unit, enabling the vehicle to free itself when stuck in sand, mud and other terrain; new Tailgate Assist that helps to lighten the opening and closing of the tailgate; new Integrated Rear Bumper Step that makes bed access easier; and noise isolating Acoustic laminated glass for the front windscreen and front windows for improved quietness.
The safety features include Vehicle Dynamic Control, Traction Control System, Active Brake Limited Slip Differential, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, Anti-Lock Braking System, Electronic Brake Distribution and Brake Assist. Further, the Nissan Intelligent Mobility advanced driver assistance features are available in the PRO-4X Auto, VL Auto and V Auto variants.
