Honda Malaysia Launched BR-V Facelift

Honda Malaysia has announced the launch of the Honda BR-V facelift. This popular 7-seater crossover receives more styling updates and some new features.

Honda BR-V_Roof Rack_OptionThe exterior of the refreshed BR-V offers a more masculine look that complements the “Active-Solid Motion” design concept of the model with a redesigned front grille, new front bumper with lower bumper garnish, new front fog light garnish as well as new 16″ dual-tone alloy wheel design. The sporty look continues to the rear with a new shark fin antenna and new rear bumper with lower bumper garnish. These exterior upgrades are meant to enhance the ruggedness of its appearance.

Honda BR-V_Cargo SpaceMarketed as an all-rounder crossover, the BR-V continues to boast versatility and spaciousness. Interior space can be maximised for passengers or cargo by the multiple layouts enabled by the 60:40 one-touch tilt & tumble of the second row seats and 50:50 tilt & full tumble of the third row. Rear cargo space is 223 litres and expands to 539 litres with the third row folded down.

According to Mr. Toichi Ishiyama, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Honda Malaysia, the new BR-V is “an attainable option for Malaysian families who need a full 7-seater that can fulfill their needs”. The model made its debut in Malaysia in 2017 and became a popular 7-seater in this market. Its popularity is mainly attributed to its combination of versatile and practical features, good product quality and fuel efficiency, as well as customers’ trust in the Honda brand over the years.

A host of new value-added features such as tweeter speakers, cargo light and cabin filter further elevate the comfort of the new BR-V. The top V variant is now fitted with a new 7″ Display Audio unit. It also comes with new leather seats with red finishing that matches the the gear knob’s red stitching. Meanwhile, auto air-conditioning, keyless entry and push start button are now new standard features in the E variant.

`Mechanically, the BR-V maintains the 1.5L SOHC i-VTEC engine and continuously variable transmission (CVT). The engine produces 120 PS, the highest in its class. The V variant now also gets paddle shifters.

Further, a brand new exterior colour has been introduced to the line-up i.e Marine Purple Pearl. The other colour choices are White Orchid Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic and Passion Red Pearl.

The Honda BR-V E variant is priced at RM89,900, while the V variant is RM96,900. Prices quoted are on-the-road without insurance for Pen. Malaysia.

Honda Malaysia_Corporate Social Responsibility_Pandemic_Be Kind With BR-VSimultaneously with the launch of the updated BR-V, Honda Malaysia also initiated two Community Relief Campaigns. The first one – “Be Kind With BR-V” campaign is dedicated to support the COVID-19 relief programmes. From 2 June until 31 August 2020, for every unit of the new BR-V sold, the company will donate a portion of the proceeds to COVID-19 relief programmes.

The second initiative is the “Honda Dealer Donation Drive”. The company has assembled its dealers in a joint effort to support affected communities in their neighbourhoods. This campaign will also run until 31 August 2020. Honda customers can also join in this campaign by donating basic necessities like dried foods and household items to the nearest Honda dealership. The donations will be gathered and then delivered to affected communities in the areas around the respective dealers.
