Mazda CX-30 Open For Booking In Malaysia
Bermaz has announced that the Mazda CX-30 is open for booking in Malaysia. The CX-30 is a new compact crossover based on Mazda’s flowing Kodo design, and size-wise sits in between the CX-3 and CX-5. You might be curious why it’s not named the CX-4, and that is for the very practical reason that ‘CX-4′ is currently used for another model sold exclusively in China.
The Mazda CX-30 will be imported as CBU from Japan, with three variants offered i.e. SkyActiv-G 2.0 2WD priced at RM143,119.20, SkyActiv-G 2.0 HIGH 2WD (RM164,119.20), and SkyActiv-D 1.8 HIGH 2WD (RM173,027.70). The latter is a diesel model and will be the first local application of the 1.8-litre turbo diesel engine. Transferring power to the front wheels should be the standard SkyActiv-Drive 6-speed automatic.
In the CX-30, Mazda promises a relaxed and user-friendly packaging, and a cabin that comfortably seats four adults. Further, the CX-30 was designed to be easy to drive. The increased height over a passenger car provides excellent visibility and makes getting in and out a breeze while the body size makes it easy to manoeuvre on any road and in any parking lot.
According to Mazda, its vehicles are more than a mode of transportation; they are created to be part of the journey and to enrich people’s lives through a vehicle ownership experience that celebrates driving. The brand seeks to create vehicles that have an emotional bond with its customers, much like its jinba ittai philosophy which describes the unity between the horse and rider.
Fuelled by an abiding thirst for challenge and uncompromising belief, Mazda designers and engineers infuse their passion into their work to evoke an emotional bond between the brand and its customers. These efforts to further enhance the driving experience are all seen in the continuous improvements in the CX-30 and allowing it to delight customers and enrich their lives. And if the latest Mazda offerings like the Mazda3, CX-5 and CX-8 are any indication, the CX-30 will not disappoint in terms of quality and refinement.
The Mazda CX-30 is available in Soul Red Crystal, Machine Gray, Titanium Flash, Jet Black, Deep Crystal Blue, Sonic Silver, Snowflake White Pearl and Polymetal Gray Metallic exterior colours.
Like all new Mazda vehicles registered from January 1, 2019, the CX-30 will have 5-Years Manufacturer Warranty + 5-Years Free Maintenance (except the Mazda BT-50) according to manufacturer’s standards inclusive of labour, parts and lubricants. Both Manufacturer Warranty and Free Maintenance have a coverage period of five years and a mileage limit of 100,000 km, whichever comes first.
Do bear in mind that the CX-30’s final specifications is subject to change.
