Hino Total Support Customer Center Hits Milestone Of 10,000 Trainees
The Hino Total Support Center (HTSCC) has hit the milestone of 10,000 trainees, exceeding the brand’s initial expectations. Located on a 39,600 square-metre site in Sendayan, Negri Sembilan, HTSCC is the only training centre for the commercial vehicle industry, and the first Hino training centre built outside of Japan.
Land transportation is an important factor of the country’s logistics sector. Thus, the establishment of HTSCC in 2015 is part of Hino’s plan of providing support and solutions to meet its customers’ needs, and aid in developing high-quality products suited to the local market.
One of the ways HTSCC aids its customers is through driver training. Customers are always looking for capable drivers that can relied on to deliver the company’s goods and services yet help in improving efficiency; this includes being safe on the roads too. As such, HTSCC is constantly updating its programs and increasing the list of HRDF-claimable training courses according to the industry needs. At HTSCC, customers and drivers have the opportunity to undergo training programs that are emphasized on safety driving skills, safety and ‘eco-cien’ driving, driver familiarisation, etc. All these curricular and practical training are aimed to minimise lifetime costs by increasing uptimes and decreasing operational cost.
“When road accidents happen, apart from the tragic loss of lives, not many people are aware of the cost to businesses. These costs can be in the form of repairing the said vehicle, the insurance paid out to the affected families, the domino effect and disruption to business flow when traffic came to a halt and most importantly the reputation cost to the said company or brand and the country in general,” said Ken Iwamoto, the Managing Director of Hino Motor Sales Malaysia.
Heading into 2019, Hino will continue to increase road safety awareness and efficient driving skills, to bring value to its customers.
