Konsortium E-Mutiara Bhd Adopts Scania Ecolution In Bid To Reduce CO2 Emissions

Konsortium E-Mutiara Bhd, one of the most successful express bus operators in Malaysia, is adopting the Scania Ecolution programme in its bid to reduce CO2 (carbon dioxide) emissions. The company’s move to reduce emissions for the betterment of the environment makes it the first company in Southeast Asia to adopt Scania’s programme.

Scania Ecolution is more than just a product or service; it is a tailor-made partnership that is designed to reduce CO2 emissions as well as reduce overall fuel consumption. By applying a suite of Scania’s total solutions, a company’s sustainability commitment also gets a boost to meet the demand of consumers today for more responsible practices that add to the constant pressures on fleet operators for just-in-time deliveries and tight profit margins.

Marie Sjodin Enstrom, Scania Southeast Asia“Scania Ecolution will facilitate the shift towards a sustainable transport system for transport companies whether it is transporting goods or people. It is a competitive industry that is increasingly focusing on sustainability,” said Scania Southeast Asia Managing Director, Marie Sjödin Enström.

“More needs to be done to lower emissions globally to reduce global warming and address climate change. Scania Ecolution is a solution on how profitability can be achieved without sacrificing sustainability. By working together, we can make it even better,” added Marie.

E-Mutiara will work with a dedicated Scania Ecolution Manager who will monitor the progress and choose from Scania’s wide range of solutions to achieve the mutually agreed emissions reduction target to achieve its sustainability goals and profitability in the long term.
