Petronas Wants You To Stop For A Coffee Break

Petronas wants you to interrupt your balik kampung or cuti-cuti journey for a coffee break (or tea break, or any other beverage of your choice but that won’t be free). The Petronas Coffee Break campaign is back again in time for the Hari Raya travel season, to encourage motorists to take regular breaks and before continuing on the balik kampung journey.

You can stop at any of the 150 participating Petronas service stations on 12, 13, 23 and 24 June 2018 for some complimentary coffee and snacks to help you stay fresh and alert on the road. It will also give your passengers, particularly children, an opportunity to stretch and release some pent-up energy.

To encourage safe driving, Petronas Dagangan Berhad (PDB) is also introducing the #CoffeeBreak Challenge via Katsana’s DriveMark mobile application, where users with exemplary driving behaviour will stand a chance to win up to RM300 worth of Mesra points.

DriveMark is an on-road safety app, which keeps track of one’s driving behavior where safe driving actions contribute to higher score and vice-versa.

PDB’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Sri Syed Zainal Abidin said, “Road safety is one of our highest priorities and through this campaign, we would like to encourage customers to have breaks in between their long journey to ensure they remain alert and travel safe. It is our wish that all travelers will reach their destinations safely to celebrate the festivities with their loved ones,” he added.

During the Coffee Break campaign, the Road Safety Department will also be reminding the public of road safety tips. Additionally, Proton and Perodua car owners will get a complimentary vehicle inspection to ensure their cars are in tip-top condition for long distance drive. St John Ambulance Malaysia will also be on-hand and will be giving free individual health checks.

The Kedai Mesra convenience store in the station also has offers on a beverage combo of a can of Nescafe and a bottle of mineral water for RM3.50.
