PETRONAS Sprinta Journeys To Phuket Bike Week 2018 With Malaysian Convoy
The PETRONAS Sprinta with UltraFlex™ Experience to Believe convoy of high-powered motorcycles started its 1,000km journey to Thailand yesterday to join the Phuket Bike Week 2018. The biggest motorcycle gathering in Asia, Phuket Bike Week 2018 starts today until 14 April at Patong Beach.
About 30 journalists, key opinion leaders and motorcycle enthusiasts are on this epic ride that was flagged off at the PETRONAS Technology Park Malaysia station in Sungai Besi. They will be getting a first-hand experience of the superior riding performance that comes with PETRONAS Sprinta with UltraFlex™ lubricant as well as the efficiency offered by PETRONAS Primax 97 fuel.
Dato’ Sri Syed Zainal Abidin, PETRONAS’ Vice President of Downstream Marketing, flagged off the convoy together with PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad (PDB) Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Mohd Ibrahimnuddin Mohd Yunus, and PETRONAS Lubricants International Sdn Bhd (PLI) Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Giuseppe D’Arrigo. The convoy is led by PLI Asia Pacific Regional Head, Mohd Khalid Mohd Latiff.

The convoy today signifies our commitment to invest and expand the PETRONAS brand presence in Thailand’s vibrant motorcycle market, introducing PETRONAS Sprinta with UltraFlex™ to riders from all over Asia,” said Dato’ Sri Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohd Tahir.

Since re-entering the Malaysian market last March, PETRONAS Sprinta with UltraFlex™ has received positive response from both trade and end-consumers, notching up 50% higher sales volume recorded in 2017 than in 2016.
Zainal Abidin added that all bikes in the convoy were filled with PETRONAS Sprinta with UltraFlex™ F900 and PETRONAS Primax fuel, which will deliver maximum riding benefits and give the participants a feel of PETRONAS’ winning fluid technology, the same technology that powered the Mercedes AMG PETRONAS Formula One team to four consecutive F1 World Constructors’ Championship since 2014.
