Honda Malaysia Expands Its 3S Center Network
Honda Malaysia has opened a new Honda 3S center in Skudai, Johor to cater to the increased number of new Honda owners. The new 3S center, located at 1, Jalan Jaya 1, Taman Mutiara Rini, 81300, Skudai is operated by Wang Loo Motor (JB) Sdn Bhd. This is Wang Loo Motor’s 2nd Honda 3S center in Johor; the company is also a Honda CEO Award winner for two consecutive years (2015 & 2016).
Costing RM 22 million, this Honda 3S center has a built-up area of 73,979 square feet and is equipped with the latest tools and equipment, and staffed with skilled technicians. The center has 18 service bays that can accommodate up to 100 vehicles a day, including 3 fast service bays, 13 general repair bays, 1 tire service bay and 1 air conditioning service bay. This center is expected to service up to 26,000 vehicles per year.
It also has the convenience of a comfortable and sizeable customer and executive lounges with a variety of hot drinks and snacks available from the café counter. Other conveniences include complimentary Wi-Fi, car wash services, kids’ corner and a surau.
With this new 3S center, Honda Malaysia now has 17 authorized dealers and 4 4S (sales, service, spare parts, and body & paint) in the southern region; 10 of these authorized dealers and 3 4S centers are in Johor.
Honda Malaysia plans to continue expanding its dealership network by opening dealerships in every major town throughout Malaysia for better customer convenience, as well as to improve on its J.D. Power Customer Service Index score. Honda Malaysia Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Katsuto Hayashi said, “For the first half of 2017, the total sales in the Southern region was more than 10,500 units, of which Johor contributed about 70%, which translated to more than 7,300 units. Overall Southern region sales have contributed about 20% to the Honda Malaysia’s total sales of 52,527 units. The Southern region sales was also recorded higher by 30% when compared to the same period last year.”
Mr. Hayashi continued, “Customer satisfaction is most important for Honda, and we have started a strategic plan to ensure that customer service is emphasised and customer voice is always heard and acted on. One such step is to continuously enhance the sales and after sales experience of our expanding customer base, and fulfill our customers’ expectations.”
Honda Malaysia is forecasting a sales target of 100,000 units this year (it has already surpassed 52% of its annual sales target as of 30 June 2017) to maintain its top position in the non-national segment.
