Honda BR-V Bookings Surpass Target

Honda Malaysia just announced today that the Honda BR-V has received over 4,000 bookings, barely 3 weeks after its official launch in Malaysia. The bookings have surpassed the company’s sales target of 800 units a month and is equivalent to the total sales target for 5 months.

Honda BR-V Trunk Space, Malaysia 2017Honda Malaysia assured that even though booking numbers exceeded the target, the expected delivery period remains at 1 to 2 months as the company adjusts its production schedule; its manufacturing plant in Melaka works on 2 production lines.

The most popular 7-seater BR-V is the V variant which makes up 83% of total bookings. Buyers are a mix of urban and suburban from across Malaysia and a number of them are first-time Honda buyers (exact figures not disclosed). The BR-V is the first Honda R&D Asia Pacific Co., Ltd. (HRAP) model launched in Malaysia.

As a goodwill gesture of appreciation and to share the joy of surpassing its booking expectations, Mr. Katsuto Hayashi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Honda Malaysia will embark on a special project to personalise his very own hand-drawn BR-V card to be delivered to all Honda customers in conjunction with their birthdays.
