Winter Has Come To Malaysia
That’s wishful thinking but it’s a sort of literal truth for Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) as they welcome Mr. Erik Winter as its new Managing Director, with immediate effect.
Mr. Winter is here to take on Mr. Alin Tapalaga’s role; he is returning to Europ to oversee the company’s Brand and Human Resource operations. Mr. Winter will join Mr. Florian Steiner, Managing Director of VPCM for Aftersales, Information Technology and Finance.
Mr. Winter comes with 16 year’s experience serving under Porsche Holding Salzburg’s (PHS) numerous business units around the world. Mr. Winter was previously based in China, where he was responsible for the retail operations of one of the brands represented by PHS.
Together with Mr. Steiner, Mr. Winter will focus on VPCM’s strategy on increasing its market share, strengthening the Volkswagen dealer network, and enhancing its aftersales service.
As part of its strategy to further improve the ownership experience of Volkswagen products, VPCM had introduced a 5-year manufacturer warranty for all Volkswagen cars purchased from 1st September 2016. The recently launched all-new Passat flagship sedan is also offered with a 5-year free maintenance package for all units purchased and registered before 31 December 2016.
