BFGoodrich Returns To Malaysia; Launches On-Road And Off-Road Tires

BFGoodrich, the Michelin-owned 120-year-old American brand of tires has made a comeback with the launch of the new on-road BFGoodrich Advantage T/A® Drive and T/A® SUV tyres and the new off-road BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A® KO2 tyres, in Malaysia.

Since 1896, BFGoodrich has been designing and producing tires with the driving enthusiast in mind and equipping their vehicles with the ability to drive through any number of different driving conditions to ensure one to experience an exciting drive to their destination.

Offering an upgraded grip and a smooth, long lasting ride, the new on-road BFGoodrich Advantage T/A® range delivers a pleasant everyday ride at an equally reasonable price. Best suited for city and urban driving, the BFGoodrich Advantage T/A® range is developed for the drivers of sedan and sport utility vehicle.

The tyres respond to drivers’ every command thanks to enhanced symmetric tread design with rigid tread blocks and shoulder, as well as “jagged” grooves for an excellent handling and control, leading to an exciting and pleasurable drive. Drivers will also feel undeterred to experience a great drive in any weather conditions, as the BFGoodrich Advantage T/A® Drive and T/A® SUV’s large tread block with deep wide longitudinal, latitudinal grooves and sipes will ensure great braking in both wet and dry. The tires are built with a strong structure of multiple plies and reinforced at shoulder as well as bead area to handle challenging road conditions. It is available in sizes from 13 to 18 inches and start from as low as RM 100 each.

The BFGoodrich All -Terrain T/A® KO2 is American-made and engineered from BFGoodrich’s incomparable championship off-road motorsports racing technology. The KO2 delivers exceptional toughness, tread life and traction for traversing the harshest conditions, including gravel, dirt, rock and mud. Building on BFGoodrich’s long heritage as an innovative all-terrain tyre maker, the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A® KO2 tyre is the first consumer tyre to incorporate the company’s race-proven and race-winning CoreGard™ technology that gives it unmatched toughness against sidewall splitting.

Compared to the already formidable current KO tyre, the new KO2 is 20% stronger in this critical off-road performance area. The rugged KO2 is also durable, lasting twice as long on gravel roads and 15% longer on asphalt. Its tread rubber has been optimally blended to reduce chips and tears on gravel. Further, special stone ejectors push objects out of the tread to reduce drilling into the tire.

In addition, the KO2 improves its already legendary tradition of all-terrain performance with 10% greater traction in the mud compared to the previous-generation KO tyre. The KO2 tread design features Side-Biter lugs in the sidewall, raised bars in the shoulder and 3-D sipes for improved traction. The All -Terrain T/A® KO2 tire available in sizes from 15 to 18 inches and is priced from RM 1,000 each.
