Hyundai Veloster enhanced with six airbags
Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) has introduced an improved version of its Veloster coupe, which now comes with six airbags, up from two previously, for enhanced passive safety.
Even better news is that the additional airbags come at no extra cost to the consumer, with the vehicle’s existing on-the-road price preserved at RM132,915 for the 1.6-litre Premium variant with automatic transmission. The lower-priced standard variants are discontinued.
Launched here in late 2012, the Veloster sports a revolutionary 1+2-door coupe body style concept, with a single door on the driver’s side and two doors on passenger side. Power is delivered by Hyundai’s 1.6-litre Gamma engine now mated standard with the company’s in-house 6-speed automatic transmission.
The improved Veloster debuted last week at the opening of the first Hyundai 3S centre in the East Coast of Peninsula Malaysia. Operated by YS Autoworld Sdn Bhd (not related to our very own YS Khong of Autoworld.com.my as far as we know), the new facilitity is built at a total cost of RM6 million and expected to cater to 1,000 Hyundai cars registered in Kuantan and the neighbouring areas which include Gambang, Kemaman, Kerteh, Paka, Dungun, Pekan, Muadzam Shah and Rompin.
Moving forward, HSDM plans to further grow its presence along the East Coast, upgrading its dealerships in Kota Bahru to 3S centres while at the same time expanding its dealership network in Terengganu in the next two years.
The YS Autoworld-Hyundai 3S centre is situated at Lot PT6299, HSD 676, Jalan Setali 2, Kawasan Perindustrian Semambu, Kuantan, Pahang. Customers who would like to find out more about the services offered by this 3S centre can call (09)-5654239 (sales) or (09)-5654539 (service).
