Total Oil Malaysia today announced a newly-minted partnership with Wing Hin Motorsports in an agreement that will see Total provide lubricants for the team to use in its upcoming races. This partnership builds on Total’s lengthy motorsport sponsorship portfolio that includes the Infiniti Red Bull F1 Racing Team, Citroen WRC rally team, and the entire Dakar Rally.

The Wing Hin partnership is naturally a much smaller one than the global examples above, but is nevertheless significant in the context of Malaysia’s domestic motorsports scene. Spearheaded by drivers Kenny Lee and William Ho, the Wing Hin Motorsports team will be participating in this year’s Malaysian Super Series, Sepang 12-hour, and Time Attack.

“We are proud to be partnering with Wing Hin Motorsports as it has been our intention to participate and encourage the development of motorsports racing in the country. The combination of the right synergy will give us the opportunity of enhancing our brand awareness and commercial development,” said Antonio Miranda, Managing Director of Total Oil Malaysia.

“We are very happy to be given an opportunity to collaborate with Total Oil Malaysia and hope that this new partnership will allow us to achieve greater success and enhance our positioning in motorsports,” said Simon Loh, Director of Sales and Racing Division of Wing Hin Motorsports.

It was further added that with Total Oil providing lubricant support, members of the Wing Hin Motorsports team will have the opportunity to give extra focus on continued development of its vehicle performance.

Established in 2001, Wing Hin Motorsports is owned by the Wing Hin Group, a company that begin its existence 40 years ago a supplier of genuine Toyota accessories and parts. Today, the Wing Hin Group operates a network of Toyota, Lexus, and Volkswagen 3S and 4S dealerships around the Klang Valley. Wing Hin Motorsports itself is the authorized distributor of Toyota Racing Development (TRD) components in Malaysia, much of which it incorporates into its own race cars.
