Ducati Opens 3S Centre in Penang
Penang, 27 November 2013 – Ducati Malaysia (Next Bike Sdn Bhd) marked yet another milestone today, as it officially opened the doors to the brand’s third full-service Ducati showroom located in the Northern state of Penang. The launch marks the beginning of Ducati’s expansion beyond Kuala Lumpur and comes just over a year and a half since the Italian brand solidified its presence in Malaysia with the opening of Asia’s largest and most comprehensive Ducati Centre in Petaling Jaya.
Present at the official opening were Mr. Pierfrancesco Scalzo, Ducati Asia General Manager, Mr. Nik Danial Nik Mahmood, Vice President of NAZA Two Wheels Division, NAZA Group of Companies and Mr. Kheoh Hock Seng, Director of Ducati Penang Showroom and Owner of Sheng Fatt Superbike Sdn Bhd.
“By developing Ducati’s presence in Penang, we aim to provide all Northern Malaysians with greater access to this world renowned brand and offer them a taste of the premium lifestyle that compliments ownership of these motorcycles. We welcome avid bikers and admirers of Ducati to visit the showroom indulge their curiosity in these high-performance masterpieces and embrace the thrilling world of all things Ducati,” said Datuk Wira SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin, Joint Group Executive Chairman, NAZA Group of Companies.
Datuk Wira further iterated that Next Bike Sdn Bhd, sole importer and distributor of Ducati in Malaysia and a subsidiary of the NAZA Group, “has consistently and successfully aided the development of the brand in the region through the introduction of Ducati’s latest models, by hosting and participating in various regional Ducati events and by expanding its network to better serve Ducati customers.”
RM1.5 million was invested in this 4 storey, 10,000 sq ft facility which houses a showroom with the complete range of latest Ducati models (from entry-level to high performance sports bikes) available in Malaysia, including various ranges of the Monster, Diavel, Hypermotard, Hyperstrada, Multistrada, 899 Panigale and 1199 Panigale. A fully equipped after-sales service centre that has 6 service bays and all technicians are specially trained by Ducati with special tools to provide Ducati owners with professional support and peace of mind when it comes to proper bike maintenance.
The original Ducati Centre at NAZA Automall in Petaling Jaya is the largest of its kind in Asia and is essentially a one-stop solution for Ducati owners and enthusiasts alike. It sports an impressive Ducati showroom, Coffee Lounge, Ducati Club Lounge for private meetings of Ducati Owners Club members, Fitness Centre, Ducati Merchandise Square, a pre-owned Ducati showroom and after sales centre (with 8 service bays and a suspension tuning room). More than just a showroom, the centre is a place for Ducati owners to gather, relax in the company of those with a shared passion and surround themselves with the best of what the premium Italian brand has to offer. A year following the opening of the Ducati Centre, Ducati Malaysia launched its first official dealership (also a 3S centre) – Welly Sungai Buloh.
