Honda charts new monthly sales record in July
Honda Malaysia today disclosed its monthly sales performance for July and announced that its performance in that month is a new company record, with 6,039 units registered and 8,780 bookings received.
Leading the way is the Honda City, which despite being in the last legs of its model life cycle continues to be a strong performer with 3,114 bookings received. Also performing strongly is the Jazz, with 1,434 bookings received for the petrol variant and 1,107 for the Hybrid. The CR-V, meanwhile, received 1,243 bookings – 743 for the 2.0 and 500 for the 2.4.
With sales having dampened by uncertainty during the months surrounding the recent elections, the market is now seeing an uptrend in consumer sentiment, and Honda is hoping to drive sales with what the company believes to be a line-up of attractive and value for money vehicles. The company is also maintaining plans to grow its network; total number of Honda dealerships nationwide is expected to hit 80 by the end of the year.
