Hyundai-Sime Darby Motor has announced a mild specs revision of the popular LM Tucson featuring additional equipment and a wider selection of models. Customers continue to be offered a choice between 2.0-litre FWD and 2.4-litre AWD models, but there are now five trim options to accompany the powertrain selections.

The range starts with the 2.0 Elegance model at RM131,888 with insurance, but the next step up is a RM10k jump to the 2.0 Executive Plus model at RM141,888, followed by the 2.0 Premium at RM144,888. Meanwhile, the 2.4-litre model is offered with a choice of Executive Plus trim at RM155,888 and Premium trim at RM158,888.

Key enhancements to the kit count include the addition of a front passenger airbag deactivation switch, ISOFIX mounts, headlamp level adjust, and rear fog lights. Exclusive to the two Premium variants are Nappa leather seats, and all variants except the 2.0 Elegance get Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) and touchscreen multimedia navigator with reverse camera.

Visually, the newly-enhanced 2012 LM Tucson can be differentiated from its earlier siblings by its MS Design skid plates installed to the underside of both front and rear bumpers. MS Design, an Austrian-based bodykit designer, is said to also manufactures bodykits for other premium European automotive brands.

The newly-enhanced LM Tucson is now available for viewing and booking at all Hyundai showrooms. Customers can call HSDM Customer Careline at 1-300-13-2000 for more information. HSDM offers a 5-year or 300,000km (whichever comes first) extended warranty on all its new passenger vehicles. A 24-hour road assist service is also available to new and existing Hyundai vehicles.
