MINI One returns with another 30 units
Following the success of its first batch introduced in 2011, BMW Group Malaysia has brought in a second shipment of MINI Ones limited to just 30 units. The first batch of 31 units were snapped up within a month, and chances are this latest shipment will be gone just as quickly.
“MINI has always been known worldwide for it’s fun character and exciting driving characteristics and the MINI One is designed to provide Malaysian customers with an excellent taste of the MINI spirit. “ said Dr. Gerhard Pils, Chief Executive Officer of BMW Group Malaysia.
Presenting the MINI in its simplest no-frills format, the MINI One is powered by the 1.6-litre Prince engine in its most modest state of tune, producing only 98hp and 150Nm. With modest outputs, naturally comes modest consumption; paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, the MINI One consumes fuel at a rate of 6.7 l/100km on the European cycle, emitting 156 grams of carbon dioxide per kilometre.
Colour choices include Chilli Red and Pepper White, with side mirror decals offering additional customization options. Standard rims feature the 5-star twin-spoke design measuring 15″ across. We foresee this to give the MINI One a better balanced ride and handling characteristic compared to the ridiculously stiff Cooper S.

The retail price (on the road and without insurance) for the MINI One is RM 143,888. The MINI Tender Loving Care (TLC) package, which provides free wear and tear repairs, maintenance and services for 3 years or up to 50,000km based on whichever is reached first, is also purchasable as an optional upgrade to the MINI One.
