infogo.com Online Music Store Opens in South-East Asia
Consumers in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and India will now have access to more than 19 million songs from the infogo.com online music store. The service is provided by UK-based cloud services provider Prodigium Mobile.
Using infogo.com, consumers will have access to high quality, fully licensed, DRM-free music online at an average price of US$0.99 per song (RM3.13 at current exchange rates). For those not in the know, a DRM-free purchase means that after paying for the song, you have the freedom of downloading it into 10 separate devices with no restrictions on copying into new devices.
Through a partnership with digital media provider 7digital, Prodigium Mobile has secured music rights for leading music labels such as Sony Music, Warner Music, Universal Music, and EMI. These songs can be downloaded from infogo.com‘s official website via mobile devices or personal computers.
Prodigium is also working with Clarion to enable downloading of infogo.com‘s music through the Android-driven Clarion Mirage car stereo systems. As announced in April 2012, Clarion was appointed as Prodigium’s exclusive automotive licensee in Asia.
In conjunction with infogo.com‘s launch, free download cards will be handed out to the Malaysian public on 16 and 17 June 2012. A booth will be setup at the East Wing entrance of Mid Valley Megamall to facilitate the hand out.
