New MD for Goodyear Malaysia

Goodyear Malaysia Bhd has announced the appointment of Ms Ivy Peng as its new Managing Director replacing the outgoing En Zakariah Ahmad. Prior to this appointment, Peng was the company’s Sales Director for two and a half years.

“We are extremely pleased to appoint Ivy Peng as she brings with her a rich experience having had a broad exposure in the consumer goods industry, managing a diverse mix of businesses and people throughout her esteemed career. She will be an asset to both our board of directors and our company,” said Paul Cadena, Managing Director, Goodyear ASEAN.

Her 25-year-long CV included a two-year stint in Singapore where she led Goodyear’s ASEAN business transformation model. Before joining Goodyear, Peng had headed Kodak Malaysia as its General Manager and was Vice President of ServTouch-Wywy (M) Sdn Bhd.

During her time in Kodak, Peng was nominated for the 2007 Kodak Jane Lanpher Legacy award which honours women in the company and also named Top 3 women leaders in Kodak Worldwide.

Speaking of her appointment, Peng enthused, “Goodyear is one of the very few industries with such a long heritage. It is definitely an honor and a great opportunity to be leading this great company.”
