Well, if it tickles your fancy, you should then pay a visit to our friends at zerotohundred.com and participate in the Shell Helix Invasion Tour: The Drive to Protect Contest.
Week 1 of the contest from October 5 till 14, 2011 attracted more than 200 entries while week two of the contest has just concluded. There is still a final opportunity to secure a place in the supercar road trip in week 3 from October 25 till 31, 2011. Contestants will have to answer some simple questions, complete a slogan and submit the entries online.
The three weekly winners will go for an overnight road trip to either Johor Bahru on November 19, 2011 or to Penang on November 26, 2011. There will also be a total of nine consolation prizes of Shell Helix Invasion Tour merchandises to be won. Some 30 supercars will be participating in each of the two road trips. There will be various activities along the way before the convoy reaches its destination.
The highlight of the November 19 Johor road trip would be the visit to Kelab Alami Mukim Tanjung Kupang at Tuas, a conservation club for youths dedicated to environmental education and awareness. There, the Shell Helix Invasion Tour convoy will attend a presentation by the young club members and make a cash contribution to support the activities of the club.
During the November 26 road trip to Penang, the Shell Helix Invasion Tour convoy will join the Penang Inshore Fishermen Welfare Association (PIFWA) in a mangrove replanting session at Nibong Tebal. PIFWA is a community based nonprofit and independent organization established in 1994 in response to the growing coastal development and resource depletion.
In conjunction with the exciting Shell Helix Invasion Tour, Lotus Cars Malaysia will also be holding a special Time Attack Challenge in Johor on November 20 and Penang on November 27. Tour participants will have the opportunity to take the Lotus Exige S through a slalom course with prizes awaiting those who record the fastest times.
