Honda introduces limited-run City SE
Honda Malaysia has just introduced a limited-run dressed up version of the Honda City, the Special Edition variant limited to only 500 numbered units. At an extra RM2,500 over the top-spec City Grade E, the City SE throws in RM6,000 worth of accessories to entice the potential buyer.
The new Honda City SE builds on the success of the current third generation model of the City, which has found 49,549 buyers since its launch in December 2008. Powered by a 1.5-litre SOHC i-VTEC engine and mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission, standard versions of the City are available in two trim levels priced between RM85,480 and RM90,480 with insurance in Peninsula Malaysia.
On top of features in the standard models, the City SE adds the Modulo aero kit set that includes a skirts at the front, side, and rear, in addition to a duck tail spoiler. All four windows plus the front and back windscreens are tinted with what Honda calls advanced nanotechnology solar control film. The special edition serial number of the vehicle will be stamped on the side stepper.
Two colour choices are available – Polished Metal and Taffeta White. The Honda City SE is available at an on-the-road price of RM92,890 with insurance, and complete with a three-year warranty.
