Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Pikes Peak Limited Edition available in Malaysia
Next Bike Sdn Bhd, the sole importer and distributor of Ducati Bikes in Malaysia, has unveiled the Multistrada 1200 S Pikes Peak Limited Edition for the Malaysian market. This special edition bike is a celebration of Ducati biker Greg Tracy’s achievement of two successive wins at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb race in Colorado, US.
To differentiate it from the regular Multistrada 1200 S, the Pikes Peak edition wears Ducati’s Corse-style paint. Its engine guard is anodized in black finish and the wheels have sport red pin-stripping. The seats are detailed in red stitching, and further sporting hints come in the form of Ducati Performance carbon fibre mudguards.
More carbon fibre bits can be found on its race-derived low screen and the Termignoni-supplied Ducati Performance silencer hooked to its 150hp engine. Ducati’s pitches the Multistrada 1200 S as a four-bikes-in-one product. At the switch of a button, its engine mapping, traction control settings, and Ohlins adjustable suspension changes accordingly to suit one of four settings – long distance tourer, urban machine, adventure enduro, and sport bike.
Ducati Malaysia also announced the Ducati Multistrada Borneo Adventure starting from the 25th of November till 2nd of December 2011. The 8 days 7 nights program will see Ducati Multistrada owners ride from Kuching to Kota Kinabalu, passing through Brunei. The program will allow owners to experience the best of their Multistrada travelling through Borneo’s breathtaking landscape and challenging terrain.
Datuk Wira Hj SM Faisal said, “The Ducati Multistrada Borneo Adventure is the first prelude to promoting two wheels tourism in Malaysia, whereby the next year we will put the Borneo Adventure program as an annual event open not only to Malaysians but to all Ducati owners from all over the world.”

The Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Pikes Peak Limited Edition is available at the Ducati Showroom at Naza AutoMall Petaling Jaya and Naza TTDI.
