Perodua MD picks up award
Perodua Managing Director Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh has received the Innovative Leadership Award In Globalisation award from the Malaysian Institute of Directors in recognition of his efforts in building up the Perodua brand.
“I am truly honoured and humbled to receive this Innovative Leadership Award for Globalisation from the Malaysian Institute of Directors,” Aminar said.
“This award is truly an honour not only for me but also for everyone at Perodua and our business partners,” he added.
Aminar’s award comes on the back of continuous strong sales performance since the days of his predecessor, Datuk Syed Hafiz. For the past five years, Perodua has successively occupied top spot in the Malaysian automotive sales charts. Last year, the company sold 188,600 cars.
Perodua’s CBU exports currently reach seven countries – Brunei, Fiji, Mauritius, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and the UK. It also exports engine parts to Indonesia, Japan, and Pakistan.
