JPM officially launches Super GT 2011, Round 3
This year’s Super GT third round race at Sepang will take place on 18-19 June 2011. The recent Japan earthquake has forced the cancellation of a test session at Okayama, but the season opener at that same track will proceed as planned on 2-3 April 2011.
Founder of JP Performance Motorsports (JPM), Mr JP Chin, announced a fundraising activity called AID FOR JAPAN, which is jointly organised between JPM and the Thunder Asia racing team, one of the teams racing in Super GT.
“Thunder Asia is selling a total of 2500 stickers for RM100 each. Each sticker size is 20mm x 60mm and people can choose to print any message they wish onto the stickers they purchase. These stickers will be then pasted onto the official Thunder Asia racing car that will be raced in one of the rounds in this years Super GT,” he said.
Side shows will include the famed GT Queen Pageant, mini concerts, a motor show, and various tastes of Japanese culture in the form of food, drinks, music and little trinkets. There will also be the Renault Megane Cup Series, created and managed by JPM as a support race.
