Continental picks up two tyre awards
Continental scored a double victory in a tyre awards held recently by English online publication Tyre Reviews. The publication named Continental’s ContiSportContact 5 P as the High-Performance Tyre of the Year and named Continental themselves as Brand of the Year.
Tyre Review’s editorial staff based their decision on the performance of the Continental summer tyre in last year’s tyre tests: Continental competed eleven times, landing first place in six of the tests. It was further explained that, in all tests where the manufacturer was not the test winner, the product was always one of the top three competitors.
The CSC 5 P was put to the test three times last year against its rivals, and came out tops in two of those tests. In the remaining test, the tyre scored a very close third behind the top two.
The online publication Tyre Review is run by independent automotive enthusiasts, who based their decisions on the test results of major West European car magazines. The complete results and the list of other rankings can be found at www.tyrereviews.co.uk.
