Bendix introduces Stealth technology in brake pads

Bendix, a leading brand among brake pad manufacturers, have just launched a new line of products that promises silent and more effective braking. Already launched in Australia and Thailand, Bendix Stealth Advanced Technology brake pads are now entering the Malaysian market.

Market research by the FMP Group, manufacturer of Bendix brake pads, show that primary concerns of mass-market consumers regarding brake pads are noise and brake dust. Responding to these requirements, FMP claims that the new Bendix Stealth pads are the quietest, smoothest and cleanest pads ever developed by the company.

A key feature of the Bendix Stealth pad is a unique double diamond shape contact area. Research by FMP engineers show that during braking, not all areas of the brake pad are effectively contacting the surface of the rotor. FMP’s approach was simply to trim away surfaces of the pad that does not contribute to optimum stopping. The pads also incorporate the use of ceramic technology, which is said to minimize brake dust.

For our market, Bendix Stealth brake pads are offered in 18 different variations that is said to encompass some 80% of the Malaysian market.
