New President for UMW Toyota Motor
The UMW Group has announced a number of key changes to top management of its subsidiaries which will take place on 1 January 2011. Current President of UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd (UMWT), Mr Kuah Kock Heng will complete his current term on 31 December 2010 before assuming the same role with Toyota Capital Malaysia Sdn Bhd, replacing the retiring Mr Lim Chin Teong.
Stepping in to fill Kuah’s position is En Ismet Suki, who is currently serving as Executive Director, Customer Services Group & Human Capital Division of UMWT. En Ismet possesses vast experience in the auto industry, starting his career as a Market Analyst for Ford Motor Company (Malaysia) in 1976. He joined UMW Toyota Motor in 1990 as Public Affairs Manager, and has since accumulated extensive experience in the company’s Service, Marketing, Customer Services and Human Capital Divisions.
Kuah’s next destination, Toyota Capital Malaysia, is a subsidiary of Toyota Financial Services Corporation (TFSC), Japan, which provides financial products and services to Toyota customers – covering individual, business and fleet vehicles. TFSC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation, Japan (“TMC”), specialises in vehicle financing for TMC around the world, and has total managed assets of JPY 11 trillion.
